NFL announces fines following the Bills' loss vs. L.A. Rams

The NFL fined a couple Bills linemen following last Sunday's wild road loss against the Los Angeles Rams.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The NFL fined two Buffalo Bills offensive linemen following last Sunday's road loss against the Los Angeles Rams.

Tackle Spencer Brown drew a $11,255 fine following a facemask penalty in the third-quarter, and tackle Dion Dawkins was docked $14,069 for unsportsmanlike conduct after he removed his helmet on the field.

This is the second fine this season for both Dawkins and Brown. Dawkins' $11,255 taunting fine came back in Week 6, while Brown's taunting fine for the same amount happened in Week 10.

Dawkins was not flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct during the final minutes of the 44-42 loss last Sunday against the Rams, but he did draw flags for a couple false starts.

Brown was flagged, with a little more than six minutes to play in the third quarter. It happened on a first-and-15 play — following one those Dawkins false starts — at the Buffalo 42, wiping out a 13-yard pass from Josh Allen to running back Ty Johnson.

That drive ended with a Bills touchdown, on a 51-yard pass from Allen to Khalil Shakir.

No Rams drew fines this week.

The NFL announces player fines every Saturday afternoon during the season. For Week 14, there were 23 plays resulting in fines for on-field discipline during 2,115 total plays.
