ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The NFL fined Buffalo Bills offensive lineman O'Cyrus Torrence following the team's Week 1 victory.
Torrence drew a facemask penalty during the second quarter of the Bills' 34-28 season-opening win against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 8.
That flag wiped out a 4-yard touchdown run by quarterback Josh Allen on a third-and-goal play. The Cardinals sacked Allen on the next play, and the Bills settled for a 37-yard field goal by Tyler Bass.
The facemask penalty led to a $7,855 fine for the guard.
The NFL announces player fines each Saturday afternoon during the regular season. The NFL issued fines for on-field discipline on 22 plays, out of 2,538 total plays, in Week 1.
