Sabres announce which player shared an elevator with Bob Dylan in Prague

When Bob Dylan recently said he shared an elevator with a member of the Sabres while in Prague, the first thought was obvious. Which one? We now have an answer.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — When Bob Dylan posted on social media last week that he shared an elevator with a member of the Buffalo Sabres while in Prague, the first thought was obvious. Which one?

The team provided an answer to that question Wednesday.

"Who met @BobDylan? After some intense investigative reporting, all clues point to one man," the Sabres posted to social media on Wednesday.

In the video, players are asked who that person was, and Jacob Bryson suggested, "Ask Tage."

Thompson, when asked about it, provided a sheepish response. "I don't think so," he said, before being told about Bryson's comment. After that, Thompson only said, "It could've been. I'm not sure. I don't know what he looks like."

At the end of the video, the Sabres said, "Our conclusion: It was Tage."

The Buffalo Sabres didn't find much joy in their season-opening games in Prague. They lost back-to-back games to the New Jersey Devils, who then trolled the team on social media.

Then came the Dylan social media post, providing some intrigue among Sabres fans.

"I ran into one of the Buffalo Sabres in the elevator at the Prague hotel. They were in town to play the New Jersey Devils. He invited me to the game but I was performing that night," Dylan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Sabres played games Friday and Saturday at O2 arena. Dylan performed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at O2 universum in Prague,. He started with "All Along the Watchtower" and ended with "Every Grain of Sand" all three nights.
