Pedestrian hit by a car, killed on Southwestern Boulevard

Police say a 52-year-old person was trying to cross Southwestern Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. near Abbott Road when they were hit.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A pedestrian was killed Monday night after they were hit by a car on Southwestern Boulevard in Orchard Park, according to the Orchard Park Police Department.

Police say a 52-year-old person was trying to cross Southwestern Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. near Abbott Road when they were hit. They were declared dead at the scene.

The victim's identity has not been released at this time.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
