BATAVIA, N.Y. — A Livingston County man faces several charges following various car larcenies in the Town of Batavia.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Office arrested Daniel J. Lewis, 24, of Lima early Saturday morning after deputies conducted an investigation.
Lewis was initially taken into custody on January 24 after he was allegedly trying to break into cars in Batavia. Police say Lewis led deputies on a foot pursuit after attempting to break into cars.
The sheriff's office says Lewis was in possession of items that are believed to be associated with recent car break-ins.
Lewis faces 21 counts of criminal possession of stolen property, one count of criminal possession of person ID numbers.
Lewis will appear in Batavia Town Court at 1 p.m. Thursday.
