Grand jury indicts Clarksville teen accused of killing parents

Larson faces 2 counts of murder, 2 counts of concealing a corpse, 3 counts of tampering with evidence, and 1 count of attempted arson.

CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. — A grand jury on Wednesday indicted 17-year-old William Larson Jr. on charges that accuse him of killing his parents at their Clarksville home in November of 2019.

Larson faces two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of concealing a corpse, three counts of tampering with evidence, and one count of attempted arson.

Details about the search for Larson were heard in court back in November. One witness was New York State Police Investigator Christopher Weber. He was told Larson tried to prevent firefighters from entering the home on Cortney Hollow Road, where his parents were found. He said Larson had left the scene with several long guns.

Larson left before State Police arrived. He was taken into custody after a 16-hour manhunt.

In an interview with New York State Police that played in court, Larson allegedly told authorities his father shot his mother, saying his dad sometimes used methamphetamine. He added that his father threw a knife at him before he shot his dad.

2 On Your Side asked Allegany County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Fuoco, who is prosecuting the case about it.

"All I can tell you is that the grand jurors found there was probable cause to believe that he did murder his mother," he said.

The indictment alleges Larson stabbed and shot both William Larson Sr. and Lisa Larson with a rifle, then left their bodies outside the house for two weeks before he brought them inside. He put them in the basement, then set the house on fire.

The indictment also said Larson used a rag to wipe off his father's blood inside a car, stating he then burned the rag.

Larson's attorney, Barbara Kelly, did not want to be interviewed but told 2 On Your Side over the phone she didn't receive the indictment until after it was released to the media.

"They knew the case was scheduled for grand jury. I had provided a notice to them that was no secret," Fuoco said.
