ALLEGANY COUNTY, N.Y. — The next chapter in this sad and tragic tale, which has gripped this region of the Southern Tier will unfold Tuesday at a funeral home 11 miles north of the crime scene
It is a place to which a bucolic quiet has returned after the events of last week, when the bodies of 67-year-old William Larson and his 50-year-old wife Lisa Larson we discovered it at their home on Courtney Hollow Road in West Clarksville late Wednesday night. This led to an all day manhunt Thursday for their son William Larson Jr., 17, who sense has been charged with their murders.
Bruce Hitchcock, a neighbor who rented his home from the Larsons, plans to attend Tuesday's calling hours and services for the Larsons at the Rinker Funeral Home in Cuba just hours after their son is due to appear in Allegany County Court several miles away in Belmont.
Their killings are alleged to have occurred on November 5, according to court documents obtained by 2 On Your Side. Some have told 2 On Your Side that William Larson Jr., stopped attending school at Portville High around the same time.
There have been whispers from several students, and others who have contacted our newsroom, that William Larson Jr. was an abuse child. But Hitchcock, also having heard that, has his doubts.
The superintendent declined an on camera interview on Monday, but told us counseling has been a made available for students and several have taken advantage.
