BUFFALO, N.Y. — An Erie County Sheriff's deputy and his wife face charges connected to prostitution, according to a law enforcement source who spoke with 2 On Your Side.
The deputy is Wallace Waliczek. The source says Lancaster Police initially arrested his wife.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office Human Trafficking Unit then started an investigation, according to the source, and found evidence that the deputy was also involved. He was then arrested for promoting prostitution and immediately suspended.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says Waliczek was issued a letter of suspension "on or about October 8," and that the suspension was without pay.
The investigation into the couple is continuing as they face charges filed in connection with the recent arrests.
