BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York State Thruway Authority announced a commercial vehicle ban along a portion of the I-90 and the I-190 due to the winter storm.
Commercial vehicles are banned on the I-90 from exit 46 (Henrietta) to the Pennsylvania line and all of the I-190 until further notice.

NITTEC posted notices on Friday at 6 a.m. that sections Route 400, Route 219, I-290, I-190, and Route 5 have all been closed to all traffic.
Route 400 has been closed from Olean Rd in Aurora to I-90 West Seneca because of winter weather.
Route 219 has been closed from Peters Rd in Ashford to I-90 in West Seneca.
I-290 has been closed from I-190 in Tonawanda to I-90 in Amherst.
I-190 has been closed from Exit 21 (Niagara Scenic Parkway) in Niagara Falls to Exit 25 (Upper Mountain) in Lewiston.
Route 5 has been closed between Big Tree Road and I-190.

A Blizzard Warning for Niagara, Orleans, Erie, and Genesee counties is currently in effect through 7am Sunday. High winds and heavy snow are expected to reduce visibility.
A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for Wyoming, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties. This watch is for 7 a.m. Friday through 1 a.m. Monday.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Allegany County starting 10 a.m. Friday and lasting until 7 p.m. Sunday.
The bans will be in effect until further notice.
