BUFFALO, N.Y. — The holiday weekend brought a ferocious blizzard to many parts of Western New York. The brutal cold, wind-whipped snow, and the storm force winds are all part of a storm that many have not experienced in a generation.
But while the Christmas weekend was bitterly cold and trapped many people at home, New Year's Eve and Day could not be more different.
After a damp and rainy end to 2022, there was the concern for some minor flooding across the greater Buffalo area. The Flood Watch that was issued for Erie County has expired.
