BUFFALO, N.Y. — Record warm water temperatures continue for Lake Erie.
The heat wave this week has not only increased the air temperatures but also the local water temperatures as well.
The Lake Erie's water temperature reached 70 degrees on Wednesday, and once again on Thursday, which are daily record highs for these dates. The old records were 69, and the average is 63.
The Heat Advisory ends for Western New York at 8 p.m. Thursday and goes until 8 p.m. Saturday for northern Pennsylvania.
