BUFFALO, N.Y. — The latest heat wave this week has not only increased the air temperatures but also the local water temperatures as well.
The Lake Erie's water temperature reached 70 degrees on Wednesday, which is a daily record high for this date. The old record was 69, and the average is 63.
The heat will continue through Thursday with a heat advisory until 8 p.m. Thursday evening for Western New York and until 8pm Saturday for northern Pennsylvania.
