This Halloween proves to be a record-breaker

The previous high temperature was recorded back in 1971, when it climbed to 73 degrees.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Storm Team 2 predicted this Halloween could be a record-breaker, and sure enough, it was.

The National Weather Service reported that it reached as high as 78 degrees on Wednesday, which is a record for Buffalo on this date. The previous high temperature was recorded back in 1971, when it climbed to 73 degrees.

So while more families might be more comfortable walking around while trick-or-treating, it might be a wise idea to put any collected candy in a cool place when you get home, to prevent any melting.
