ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Bills quarterback Josh Allen drew a flag for taunting as he ran into the end zone during Sunday night's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
That unsportsmanlike conduct penalty also cost Allen when it comes to his wallet. He was fined $10,927 by NFL, an amount that was announced on Saturday afternoon.
The play for which he was fined happened early during Buffalo's 24-18 loss to the Bengals.
The Buffalo quarterback rolled right and looked to pass into the end zone against the Bengals defense, but with a defender in the way, he offered a pump-fake that got Cincinnati safety Nick Scott airborne.
Scott's jump took him out of the play, and Allen pointed toward Scott at the 3-yard line before cruising in for the touchdown, which capped a seven-play, 85-yard drive that consumed 3 minutes, and 15 seconds.
Allen was flagged for taunting, which resulted in a 15-yard penalty. He completed 5 of 6 passes for 83 yards on that drive.
