ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Josh Allen showed some swagger in scoring a touchdown on the Bills' opening drive. Perhaps too much swagger.
The Buffalo quarterback rolled right and looked to pass into the end zone against the Bengals defense, but with a defender in the way, he offered a pump-fake that got Cincinnati safety Nick Scott airborne.
Scott's jump took him out of the play, and Allen pointed toward Scott at the 3-yard line before cruising in for the touchdown, which capped a seven-play, 85-yard drive that consumed 3 minutes, and 15 seconds.
Allen was flagged for taunting, which resulted in a 15-yard penalty. He completed 5 of 6 passes for 83 yards on that drive.
