Bills rule out 4 players for Sunday's playoff game vs. Chiefs

Taron Johnson is among 4 players listed as questionable after Friday's practice.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills final injury report has been released ahead of Sunday's AFC divisional round game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and four players have been ruled out for the playoff clash.

WR Gabe Davis (knee), CB Taylor Rapp (calf), CB Christian Benford (knee) and LB Baylen Spector (back) were listed as out on the team's Friday injury report. Davis and Rapp will miss their second consecutive game after also being out in the Bills' wild card win over the Steelers, while Benford and Spector suffered their injuries in the win over Pittsburgh.

Four additional players are listed as questionable: CB Taron Johnson (concussion), CB Rasul Douglas (knee), LB Terrel Bernard (ankle) and P Sam Martin (left hamstring).

Johnson has practiced in limited capacity Wednesday through Friday, while Douglas was a full participant Friday after being limited the previous two days. Martin has practiced in limited capacity the past two days.

As for Bernard, it appeared to be a serious injury when he was carted off Sunday against Pittsburgh, but earlier this week, head coach Sean McDermott said there was "hope" that Bernard avoided anything serious. Bernard has not practiced this week, but still has not been ruled out, thus carrying the questionable designation for Sunday.

"I think more than anything it's just going to come down to what he looks like throughout the rest of the day and evening tonight and then into Saturday and we'll go from there," Sean McDermott said.

One player who appears set to return from injury for the Bills is linebacker Tyrel Dodson, who does not carry an injury designation going into this weekend. Dodson missed the wild card game with a shoulder injury he suffered in the Week 18 win over Miami.

Dodson did not practice last week in the lead up to the game, and missed the win over Pittsburgh. This week however, Dodson has practiced every day, in a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday while participating in full on Friday. Getting Dodson back would be a big piece for a Bills linebacking group already down one player in Spector, and possibly without another in Bernard for this weekend.

Stefon Diggs was limited Friday after not participating on Thursday due to vet rest/foot injury, but does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's game.

"I think it happened in the game but it showed up a day or two after so wasn't something we were aware of right after the game," McDermott said.
