SEATTLE — Even the Seattle rain couldn't stop the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon.
Josh Allen and Co. took care of business on their West Coast trip, beating the Seahawks 31-10.
Allen did throw his first interception of the season, ending a streak of 301 passing attempts, dating back to last season.
Still, the offense rolling behind a career day from Khalil Shakir and a very efficient afternoon running by James Cook, who ran for 111 yards on 17 carries. He scored on touchdown runs of 2 and 7 yards.
The Bills defense did catch a few breaks. Seattle was knocking on the door twice inside the 5-yard line in the 1st half. The first trip was altered by a snap that went over Geno Smith's head and lost massive yardage. The other saw a fourth-and-goal from the Buffalo 1 end when Smith tripped over his offensive lineman's foot.
Going into the Week 8 game, Allen had completed 119 of 189 passes for 1,483 yards, 12 touchdowns, and no interceptions. That was good for a passer rating of 108.4.
Turnovers had been a big talking point last season, when Allen threw 18 interceptions and finished fifth in the NFL's Most Valuable Player race. The interception on Sunday came on his 15th pass attempt.
Allen took a seat for the game's final five minutes. He completed 24 of 34 passes for 283 yards, two touchdowns, and that one interception. The touchdowns covered 2 yards to rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman and 12 yards to tight end Dalton Kincaid.
Tyler Bass made a 27-yard field goal.
The Bills improved to 6-2 on the season. They return home next weekend to host the Miami Dolphins.
