BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo wasted no time embracing the Savannah Bananas, and the team itself wasted no time endearing themselves to the fans at Sahlen Field.
Playing in the first of three games this weekend, the Bananas had something special lined up for the fans.
After a fourth-inning home run by Eric Jones gave the Bananas a 2-0 lead in points, the team quickly broke out a ladder and a table. Buffalo sports fans knew exactly what was coming next.
Jones went through the table, and the sellout crowd at Sahlen Field went crazy. 2 On Your Side's Lindsey Moppert made sure she didn't miss the moment and posted the video on social media.
"We just completed a full nine innings in one hour and 29 minutes - the fastest game in the history of Banana Ball," the Bananas said on social media after the game.
