Buffalo Sabres: Jeff Skinner out 3-4 weeks after suffering upper-body injury during game with Boston Bruins

Skinner left with 15:51 remaining in the third period against the Bruins on Friday and is now dealing with an upper-body injury.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — There was the loss on Friday then there was the loss within the loss as Sabres forward Jeff Skinner left in the third period against the Bruins with an upper-body injury. 

On Saturday, the Sabres announced that Skinner will be out for three or four weeks.

Skinner left for the locker room with trainers with 15:51 left to play in Friday's 3-0 loss to the Bruins after a hit from David Pastrnak. 

After the game, head coach Ralph Krueger said Skinner was dealing with an upper-body injury and said they were evaluating him.

Patrice Bergeron scored twice for the Bruins, and Brandon Carlo added the empty netter to seal the win.

The Sabres have now lost five out of their last six games. Up next, they'll see these guys again in Boston on Sunday at 7 p.m.
