Bills will play most of their starters in regular season finale vs. Jets

Even though there's nothing to play for in week 17 since the Bills are locked into the 5 seed for the playoffs, Sean McDermott will play most of his starters Sunday.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Sunday's week 17 matchup against the Jets doesn't mean anything in terms of playoff implications for the Bills. They're already locked into the five seed and will most likely play the Texans depending on the outcome of Sunday's games.

And while they can't gain anything from this game for postseason seeding, head coach Sean McDermott sees a different value in it and that's why he said most of the starters will play against the Jets including Josh Allen.

McDermott would not say exactly who will sit or how long the starters will play only that we could see Matt Barkley in at quarterback at some point.

"We care about every single one of our players, some are going to play more than others," McDermott said Tuesday before practice. "I wish I could take them all out, honestly I wish I could I just don't have the numbers to do that in terms of when we take certain players out."
