BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fans will have to wait until Sunday night to find out the Bills playoff opponent and when the game will be played, but the playoff picture is a little clearer following week 16.

The Bills (10-5) will play the Houston Texans (10-5) or the Kansas City Chiefs (11-4) in an AFC Wild Card game.

The Bills are locked into the fifth seed in the AFC and will play the fourth seed on the road either January 4 or January 5.

Right now, the Texans are in the fourth position. They won the AFC South title over the weekend and still have a shot at moving up in the standings if they beat the Tennessee Titans in week 17.

Kansas City is in the third position in the AFC but they might fall to fourth if they lose to the LA Chargers on Sunday and Houston wins their final game.

The Texans hold the tiebreaker over the Chiefs, creating a situation for Bills fans to follow on the final weekend of the NFL regular season.
