Bills look to bounce back vs. struggling Redskins

Heather Prusak and Vic Carucci break down how the Bills can rebound from that 31-13 loss to the Eagles as they host the 1-7 Redskins this week.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Once again the Bills host a struggling team as the 1-7 Redskins come to town. And once again it's an opportunity to finally play a complete game, something they have yet to do this season.

Offensively, they need to get out to a strong start and put this team away early. They can't let them hang around or give them confidence like what has happened the past couple weeks against the Dolphins and Eagles.

Another key is to sustain drives and make them "clean." That's something head coach Sean McDermott talked about this week is the need for "clean drives" meaning limit the penalties and turnovers. Josh Allen fumbled three times last week and lost one so ball security needs to improve.

Defensively, the Bills look to rebound from that loss to Philly where the Eagles ran all over them for 218 yards. Redskins running back Adrian Peterson was banged up but if the Bills run defense is anything like it was last week he'll still be able to do some damage.

They also should dominant because rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins will make his first NFL start with Case Keenum still in concussion protocol. Haskins has played in two games so far this season and thrown for 140 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions.
