CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — One person died after a car struck a tree Friday morning in Cheektowaga.
The crash happened some time around 11:35 a.m. Cheektowaga Police did not say where the crash happened.
Cheektowaga Police officers, the Cleveland Hill Fire Department, and an ambulance from American Medical Response went to the scene, where first aid was rendered to the lone person in the vehicle.
That person, an 81-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the accident Friday morning and the woman's death is underway, Cheektowaga Police said Friday in a statement.
