BUFFALO, N.Y. — Western New York is headed into the colder months of the year, and with that cold comes the snow.
Many areas across Western New York have parking bans that go into effect during the winter months to give plows the opportunity to clear streets of snow.
Due to the mild winter so far, many areas who originally had parking bans beginning on Nov. 15 postponed to Dec. 1.
Here is our updated list of areas across Western New York winter parking bans:
- Town of Tonawanda goes into effect on Sunday, Dec. 1
- No parking from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on all roads in the Town of Tonawanda
- Town of Lancaster goes into effect on Friday, Nov. 29
- Town of West Seneca goes into effect Sunday, Dec. 1
- No parking from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on all Town and County roads within boundaries of West Seneca
- City of Buffalo goes into effect on Sunday, Dec. 1
- Village of East Aurora goes into effect Sunday, Dec. 1
- No parking from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Village streets
- Village of Orchard Park went into effect on Friday, Nov. 1
- No parking from midnight to 7 a.m. on Village streets and public highways
- Town of Hamburg went into effect on Friday, Nov. 1
- No parking from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Town and County roads
- Town of Cheektowaga goes into effect on Saturday, Nov. 30
- No parking from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Town streets
- Village of Williamsville went into effect on Friday, Nov. 1
- No parking from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Village streets
- Town of Clarence went into effect on Friday, Nov. 1
- No parking from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Town or County roads
- Town of Lockport went into effect on Friday, Nov. 1
- No parking from 1a.m. to 7 p.m. on Town highways
