BUFFALO, N.Y. — A local effort to keep everyone warm in the upcoming winter months kicked off on Thursday.
The second annual winter clothing drive is now underway at the Vive Shelter. Thursday's event was hosted by New York State Assemblymember Jon Rivera.

The clothes will help support Lafayette International High School, Jericho Road Community Health Center, and refugees.
"One of the things that we see when people first arrive is the weight and the fear, or the concerns that they have, is physical on their body, and they are often ill-equipped to deal with the environmental concerns that even Buffalonians aren't always ready to deal with," according to Matt Tice, director of Asylum Seeker Programs at Jericho Road.
The drive accepts gently used or new coats, hats, gloves, and snow boots.
