TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Tops Friendly Markets partnered with City of Tonawanda Common Council President Jenna Koch to make their annual turkey donations.

This is the grocery chain's ninth year of giving back to those in need.

“The annual tradition of donating turkeys during the holidays reminds us that the heart of this season is truly about giving,” said Tops senior community relations manager Courtney Mailhot.

125 turkeys were donated to the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 77 and St. Francis Food Pantry. Additional birds were also given away to local veterans at the Tops on Niagara Street on Saturday.
