It was a quick, 54 minute flight for the Bills to fly from Pittsburgh to Buffalo, after a historic win on the road against the Steelers.
Hundreds of Bills fans were already waiting for them at the airport.
After the first 10-win season for the Bills in 20 years, Western New Yorkers were ecstatic into the late-night hours, making sure the team felt the love amidst the evening's bitter cold.
Dressed in their best blue, red and white, the overwhelming feeling was that for a road victory of this size, there's nowhere else the Bills Mafia would rather be.
"This is crazy," laughed Maddie Sciandra. "This is the best thing to go to after a win."
"The Bills are going to the playoffs, baby," shouted her friend, Erin Crowell, which drew another cheer from the ever-increasing number of fans nearby.
"They're built different than any other team previously, so we'll see what happens, but... Look at this," said Mike Read, as he took in the Mafia members doing a celebratory wave. "Everyone's here. We're ready. Let's go, let's go."
And then, the big moment arrived.
As 2:00 a.m. rolled around, the Bills fans let the team hear them shouting and singing and clapping from the moment the doors popped open.
They even got a few high fives from players and team staff members, as the Bills drove through a victory caravan after a long days work.
All the while, the fans continued to chant "We want Brady," a sign of just how big this scene could be after another possible road victory in New England, with a shot at the division hanging in the balance.
That would be quite the win worth celebrating.
