Police: Elderly man with dementia hit by car on Military Road

Town of Niagara Police say the 85-year-old Niagara Falls man got out of his son's car and walked into the road where he was hit by a 23-year-old Lewiston woman.

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — A man with dementia was hit by a car Monday evening on Military Road in Niagara County, according to the Town of Niagara Police Department.

Police say the 85-year-old Niagara Falls man got out of his son's car and walked into the road where he was hit by a 23-year-old Lewiston woman. The man was taken to ECMC and is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

Military Road was closed between Packard Road and 3rd Avenue for an accident investigation for about two hours.

Police say no charges are pending against the woman at this time.
