BUFFALO, N.Y. — The NFTA has announced that above ground Metro Rail operations that were once paused will soon resume again.
The above ground Metro Rail pause first began in July with a suspension that was aimed to help the NFTA address crucial track bed, catenary, and electrical system upgrades for enhanced safety and reliability
Above ground operations will return on Dec. 1 with full service to both tracks and single-tracking nightly after 8:30 p.m.
In a press release from the NFTA they said "Our team has worked hard to restore service safely and efficiently and looks forward to providing a seamless travel experience for all."
