BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new set of play attractions were unveiled Wednesday at the Buffalo Niagara Airport. Fisher-Price partnered with the NFTA to create three "play gates" in the airport. Each play area is designed to replicate a classic Fisher-Price toy.
The "play gates" were designed with both children and parents in mind. Fisher-Price General Manager Chuck Scothon explained each small playground was intended to help keep children distracted while traveling.
"You know the thought process was really helping parents who are dealing with their kids as they travel and giving them a chance to let off some energy, let off some steam, just have a really fun time as they get ready for a trip. Not necessarily to deal with anything to just give them a great chance to have some fun."
The playgrounds are located at gates 2, 9, 19 and 21 at the airport.
Some of the figures in the airport include the Rock-a-stack and Thomas the Train. The "the play gates will be a permanent fixture at the airport and Fisher-Price will help with maintenance.
