BUFFALO, N.Y. — Monday, Oishei Children's Hospital unveiled the new "garage", which will house and display four Power Wheels cars.
Last year, Fisher-Price donated the cars to help patients at the hospital. It can be a scary thing leading up to surgery, so the toymaker gave them to the hospital to drive some of their littlest patients to their procedures with a smile.
"Their families can relax, see their kids going off to have a good time before what is a stressful time," said Chuck Scothon, general manager for Fisher-Price. "And for us, it's really an opportunity for kids to just relax and have just a moment of fun before they face something that might have a little bit of anxiety."
This year, Fisher-Price helped the hospital design and decorate a special area at the hospital for the cars, not only to store them but for them to be on show for the kids staying there.
