40th annual Christmas in the Country holiday market returns to Hamburg

Over 400 exclusive artisans will set up shop for the market

HAMBURG, N.Y. — As the weather starts to cool, the holidays season heats up. November and Thanksgiving are next on the calendar, but for the Hamburg Fairgrounds, Christmas comes first. 

The 40th anniversary of Christmas in the Country Artisan Market returns to Western New York. The market will open on Thursday, November 7 until Sunday, November 10 at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. 

More than 400 exclusive artisans will set up shop at the fairgrounds to sell their creations from home decor and jewelry to gourmet food and candies. There will also be 40 new vendors joining the lineup in addition to years past. 

The festival offers free parking at the fairgrounds and complimentary free return passes to enjoy the festival over its multiple days. 

This year's market will support several nonprofit organizations including The P.U.N.T Foundation, Hamburg Eden Animal Rescue Team (H.E.A.R.T), Variety - The Children's Charity of Buffalo, and Hamburg Presbyterian Church. 

Christmas in the Country runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 9, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 10. Discounted tickets are available from Oct. 23 to Nov. 6 at select locations throughout Erie County. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets at the box office at the Hamburg Fairgrounds are $12 for general admission.
