HAMBURG, N.Y. — Western New York's largest lights festival returns for its 20th year. The light display will open at the Hamburg Fairground on November 29 until December 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on November 15 at www.FairgroundsHoliday.com.
Guests can reserve a night with the 'full experience' for $30 per carload. Nights for viewing this experience will be open for 17 nights including November 29-30 and December 1, 6-8, 13-23.
Gates will open at 5p.m. to 9p.m. with the building and grounds open an extra hour until 10p.m. for the full experience nights. It includes the following features:
- Drive thru of over 70 light displays
- New animatronic comedy show
- Visit with Santa
- Santa's barnyard
- Who-ville express train ride
- Illuminated pixel show
- Make-n-take crafts
- Letters to Santa and Troops
- Photo opportunities
There are also extra activities for additional costs like cookie decorating, wine and beer garden, food and shopping vendor, outdoor European market, and Santa's magical midway.
Drive thru only experiences are also available for $20. Visitors can experience the light displays without crowds or additional activities. The drive thru will be available for 8 nights including 30, December 5, 12, 26-30.
In celebration of its 20th year, the festival will offer new 'special nights'. Opening night on Friday, November 29 will feature a tree lighting and pyrotechnics show. The 20th anniversary night on Sunday, December 1 will include a one-night only discounted ticket for the full experience at $20. There will also be a silent night on Sunday, December 8 where guests can enjoy sensory-friendly accommodations with turned down lights for a less stimulating viewing experience.
