BUFFALO, N.Y. — Funeral services were held Saturday for Keyshawn Gault, the Buffalo Sewer Authority worker who was shot and killed while in a truck with two co-workers that came under fire as it traveled down the 190 last month.
Some of his co-workers were among the mourners, who remembered the 22-year-old Gault as a sensitive young man who often put others before himself.
"This is heavy on us, super heavy on us, because that was our little brother. And even though he was our little brother, he would look after every single one of us ... if it was something small, running into a store coming out with four bags of chips when we were together, we didn't ask for it. That's just what he did," one person at the funeral said.
New York State Police say they've recovered what they believe was the vehicle used in the drive by shooting that took Gault's life and wounded two of his co-workers. However, no arrests have been made.
