BUFFALO, N.Y. — A fire in the public bathrooms at MLK Park caused thousands of dollars in damage on Saturday evening.
No injuries were reported, according to the Buffalo Fire Department, which said the fire was extinguished quickly. It caused an estimated $180,000 in damage one week before the Juneteenth Festival Parade comes to an end near the site.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Early Saturday morning, fire crews responded to a vacant home on the city's East Side. Fire officials told 2 On Your Side that the blaze caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to the Olympic Avenue home.
