BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fire crews in Buffalo responded to a vacant home on the city's East side early Saturday morning.
The call for a fire came in just before 3:20 a.m. It had been put out by firefighters by the time a 2 On Your Side photojournalist arrived at the scene around 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters were seen opening doors and windows to let out smoke, as well as bashed in several basement windows.
According to fire officials, the home on Olympic Avenue, had nobody living in it. They estimate damage to be around $100,000.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
