Buffalo man admits to killing his own grandmother

Alec Swiderski pleaded guilty Monday to beating and strangling the 74-year-old woman to death.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man faces a maximum of 25 years behind bars after admitting to killing his own grandmother.

Alec Swiderski, 31, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of first-degree manslaughter. Swiderski beat and strangled 74-year-old Pamela Toy last December. 

He will remain held without bail until sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher Burns in October.
