ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An 18-year-old man has been convicted of fatally shooting two men in Rochester.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says Thursday a jury convicted Kyrell Gilroy of two counts of first-degree manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. Gilroy was charged with killing 24-year-old Markwaun Williams and 26-year-old Justine Siler on a Rochester street last September.

A jury acquitted him of second-degree murder charges but found him guilty of manslaughter. His lawyers said Gilroy never intended for the deaths to occur.

Gilroy faces up to 65 years in prison when he's sentenced on Oct. 21.
