BUFFALO, N.Y. — In less than a week, Black History Month begins.
With that, in Buffalo, everyone can learn from Black History Month vendor weekends at The Broadway Market, which is a melting pot of cultures. The mayor calls it a reflection of the city's diversity.
Clothing, jewelry, and food will be offered every Saturday during Black History Month. Unapologetic Coffee, Second Chapter Bookstore, and Dexter's Hats, Caps & Things are just some of the participating businesses. Those businesses made a Sunday afternoon appearance on Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown's "Talk of the Town" radio show on WUFO.
"People like diversity. And when it comes to headwear, it expresses it. I have a sign up in my shop, how a hat makes you feel," Dexter Shaw said.
Feb. 3 is the first Saturday that you'll be able to celebrate the month at The Broadway Market.
