MACHIAS, N.Y. — A Medina man is charged with felony DWI after Troopers  say his BAC was nearly four times over the legal limit.

Stephen D. Tagg, 41, is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – BAC Over 0.18% in a Commercial Vehicle.

Troopers say they were called to investigate a complaint of erratic driving.   They discovered a dump truck on the side of Martin Road in Machias.

They say Tagg was extremely intoxicated while driving the dump truck and that he was unable to complete field sobriety tests because he was so intoxicated.

Investigators say a chemical breath test revealed Tagg had a 0.31% BAC.

Tagg was issued appearance tickets for Machias Town Court.
