Shots fired overnight on Buffalo State campus

University Police launched an investigation into the incident, and targeted patrols will be in place for the remainder of the weekend.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — No injuries were reported after shots were fired overnight on the Buffalo State University campus.

The incident happened at 1:56 a.m. Saturday, according to a Buffalo State news release.

"Two individuals chased two other people in Lot R-15, near Rees Street, and discharged firearms," the school said.

The two people being chased fled the campus, and the two suspects left the scene in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

"No one involved has come forward to speak with police," Buffalo State said. "Suspects are described as two black males, both wearing black pants and black hoodies."

University Police launched an investigation into the incident, and targeted patrols will be in place for the remainder of the weekend.
