Police: Party promoter charged in connection with shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police say they've made an arrest in a shooting that injured two people

The shooting happened October 26 on Clinton Street near Jefferson Avenue. 

Officers were called to a report of a shooting at a party on Clinton Street.  When they arrived, officers discovered that a 26-year-old male had been taking to ECMC by a private vehicle and a 15-year-old girl was taken Oishei Children's Hospital, also by private vehicle.  Their conditions are currently unknown. 

According to Gun Violence Unit detectives, a party promoter allegedly hosted an unpermitted event where the shooting occurred. 

The City of Buffalo Permits and Inspections office posted a cease and desist order at the location of the party the next day to ensure no other parties are hosted there in the future. 

Police have charged Chuka Ibezim, 23, of Buffalo with two counts Criminal Nuisance in the Second Degree.
