Niagara Falls Officer accused of rape is fired

Martice D. Porter, 21, of Niagara Falls is charged with three counts of Rape in the Third Degree.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls Police officer accused of rape has now been fired from the department and stripped of his license to be a police officer in New York State, according to the NYS Division of Criminal Justice. 

Martice D. Porter, 21, of Niagara Falls is charged with three counts of Rape in the Third Degree. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says they began an investigation after receiving a report of an alleged sex offense involving a juvenile victim. 

When Porter was first charged, he was originally placed on an administrative leave.

Porter was sworn in as a police officer by the Niagara Falls Mayor in November of 2023.
