NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls police officer is facing accusations of rape.
Martice D. Porter, 21, of Niagara Falls is charged with three counts of Rape in the Third Degree. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says they began an investigation after receiving a report of an alleged sex offense involving a juvenile victim.
Porter was held at the Niagara County Correctional Facility until his arraignment.
The City of Niagara Falls issued this statement:
Mr. Porter is a Niagara Falls Police Officer. He has been placed on 30-day administrative leave. As with any personnel matter, there is no further comment at this time.
Porter was sworn in as a police officer by the Niagara Falls Mayor in November 2023.
