A Buffalo man who was previously charged with sexual assault is facing new charges following an alleged burglary in the city's Parkside neighborhood.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man who was previously charged with sexual assault for an incident in Shoshone Park is facing new charges following an alleged burglary in the city's Parkside neighborhood.

Lamont K. Love, 34, was charged with Burglary and Criminal Mischief after allegedly entering an apartment and damaging a window screen and a kitchen countertop.

Love was awaiting prosecution in another case where he allegedly attacked a victim, and is accused of "sexual contact by forcible compulsion," according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office.

He is scheduled to return for both crimes on Friday, Sep. 27 for a pre-trial conference.

Love was held on bail set at $25,000 for the sexual assault case and was held without bail for the burglary case.

According to the Erie County DA, temporary protection orders have been issued for both victims.
