Former dog daycare worker pleads guilty in connection with dog's death

A former dog daycare worker in Buffalo pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals in connection with the death of a dog.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A former dog daycare worker in Buffalo pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals in connection with the death of a dog.

Investigator says Jarrod Dillman, 23, was working as an attendant at PawPrints by Penny & Co. on Niagara Street in August and caused the death of “Alessio,” a 3-year-old Havanese mix.

Dillman admitted using a leash to throw the dog against a wall and repeatedly kicked the dog while wearing boots. The dog died of its injuries.

Dillman faces a maximum of two years in prison when he's sentenced in January.
