BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man faces two counts of murder in connection to a Jan. 2 shooting that left two people dead.
Buffalo Police on Wednesday night announced that 22-year-old James White was arrested in connection to the deaths of two Buffalo men, 24-year-old John Gibson and 29-year-old David Honer.
Officers were called to a home on East Utica Street near the Utica Metro Bus & Rail Station just after 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 2. That's where police investigators believed that a car drove to the home, shot into it from the street, and then drove off, hitting both men in the process.
A police spokesperson, at the time, had referred to the shooting as "targeted in nature" without listing a motive. Honer was pronounced dead at the scene, and Gibson died after being transported to Erie County Medical Center.
