JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Two arrests have been made in connection to a Jamestown homicide that happened in March.
Trevon D. Tripp, a 26-year-old man from Dunkirk, was found dead in a Jamestown apartment back on March 18. Two other people also sustained serious injuries from the incident, which led police to 839 Prendergast Avenue in the evening hours.
Jamestown Police and the Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office opened an investigation, and since then they have announced two arrests, for what police said were their alleged involvement in what happened that day.
Juan C. Rivera, 35, of Jamestown was arrested on March 19. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and was being held at Chautauqua County Jail on $50,000 bail.
William Hernandez, 53, of Jamestown was arrested Thursday and charged with robbery. He will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
"Over the course of the investigation detectives have identified several individuals who were involved in the incident and the detectives have been gathering further details along with physical evidence," Jamestown Police said Thursday.
The investigation into the March 18 homicide and assault are ongoing, "and further charges are expected to be presented to a Chautauqua County Grand Jury at a later time by the District Attorney's Office," police said.
