Orchid exhibit Botanical Gardens showcases over 2,000 blooms

The flower-filled weekend featured more than 2,000 orchids, from standard varieties to the unique and exotic.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Orchid Fest was in full bloom this weekend at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens.

The flower-filled weekend featured more than 2,000 orchids, from standard varieties to the unique and exotic. There were also experts on site to teach people about the care that orchids require.

"You're going to feel it when you walk in here. It is full, there are blooming petals everywhere and just like the most gorgeous pinks and purples and whites and yellows and any color that you can think of and it is so joyful," Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens director of marketing and sales Shaunna Rospierski told 2 On Your Side last month.

Even if you missed out on the festival, the flowers are still at the Botanical Gardens.
