ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — At 95 years old, Jeanne Townsend, was able to watch her first NFL game at Highmark Stadium.
Jeanne said, "I was just delighted. I had discovered all kinds of amazing things. It's not like anything else. I've been following the Bills, especially in the 90s, after the 90s, when the Bills were the only team in history, I think, who went to the Super Bowl four times in a row."
Timo Townsend gifted his grandmother the experience for her 95th birthday.
"I was trying to find something that I could do for her that would be more of an experience that she could have, a cherished memory, instead of a physical thing," Timo Townsend said.
Timo Townsend explained how this would be his grandmother's first NFL game.
"She'd said she'd never been to a football game and she liked to, and I thought, why not?" he said.
She and her grandson, Timo , traveled from Hilton, N.Y., to Orchard Park for the game on Nov. 17. The Bills played the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jeanne Townsend said, "The crowd was so much fun because that was a new part of the experience. Some of the team members [were getting the crowd going] forcing us to yell and make great big loud noises, and we did!"
Jeanne Townsend said her first NFL game was an experience she will never forget. She explained one moment with a lady who was sitting by her in the stadium.
She said the lady was "so amazed at this little old lady who found herself in the middle of this exciting, thrilling, loud, different, enthusiastic game. It was just so much fun."
"That game was just a really perfect game. I don't think, you know, even if we won again, I don't know if it would be the same kind of experience. It was so much fun," Timo said.
Both Jeanne and Timo were excited to see the Bills win. They are hoping they can make it to a Super Bowl this year.
Jeanne explained how she how they keep up their momentum.
"I think they're getting some good players back online, and that's good. Of course, I want them to get to the Super Bowl," Jeanne said.
Perhaps for Jeanne, the best gift of all, is the love and memories she made from the game with her grandson.
She said, "There's all kinds of love in my family, and they give me all kinds of love. This is one unique example that made it really special."
